Before WW1 being a council tenant was almost unheard of.  By the late 70s, about a third of the population lived in a council property.  Now it’s 9% and going down.  What happened?  A quick look back at the history of council housing.  The class lasts for 10 weeks, including a couple of visits to places of interest.  Vera worked for local authority housing departments and housing associations for 30 years. Additional Costs: travel associated with two half day visits on 18 Oct & 6 Dec.
